Pakistan Flooding & Heavy Rains
According to reports, at least 107 deaths and 344 injuries were recorded in Pakistan since last month due to flooding and heavy rains conditions.
According to NDMA, the root cause of deaths is due to roof collapses and building collapses caused by rains. Punjab has been affected most by floods as flooding has destroyed many areas of Punjab forcing the government to construct shelter homes for the affected people.
Emergency teams are working to clear the flood water in the city of Lahore. Officials have warned the people against entering low-lying areas as rains are expected later this week.
The Met department has forecasted the resurgence of heavy rains in the country starting Wednesday and affecting areas like Islamabad, upper Punjab along others.
As the monsoon rains go on till September, it is advisable for the inhabitants of the country to keep updated with the weather news.
